The Nubian Museum, formally the International Museum of Nubia, is located in Aswan. It was officially inaugurated in 1997, during the reign of former President Hosny Mubarak. The museum was designed by the famous architect Mahmoud El Hakim. The Nubian Museum primarily displays monumental pieces of Nubian history as well as the evolution of its civilization and culture over time.
