In Luxor, where your Egyptian vacation begins, you'll visit Luxor Temple, an imposing monument dedicated to the god Amun. Known for its towering pylons, large statues, and the famous Avenue of Sphinxes, the temple is a prime example of ancient Egyptian architecture. A short distance away, you'll visit the Karnak Temple complex, Egypt's largest religious site, also dedicated to Amun. Here, you'll be amazed by the Great Hypostyle Hall, with its 134 massive columns, and the tranquil Sacred Lake, central to many ancient rites. Your journey will take you to the Valley of the Kings, home to the tombs of numerous pharaohs, including the famous tomb of Tutankhamun. Also, during your Egypt tour with a Nile cruise, Abu Simbel, and Cairo, you'll visit the remarkable Temple of Hatshepsut at Deir El-Bahari, an impressive structure carved into the cliffs of the Theban Mountains. Along the way, you will stop to admire the Colossi of Memnon, two gigantic statues that have stood for over 3,000 years and guard the burial site.

While cruising the Nile during your trip through Egypt, you'll stop at the Temple of Edfu, dedicated to Horus, the falcon-headed god. Known for its remarkable preservation, the temple features impressive reliefs depicting the legendary battle between Horus and Seth, as well as large pylons and a massive inner hall. Not far from Edfu, you'll visit the Temple of Kom Ombo, a unique double temple shared by two gods: Sobek, the crocodile god, and Horus the Elder. The temple is famous for its symmetrical design, with two entrances, halls, and shrines, one for each god, and well-preserved reliefs depicting crocodile worship and ancient surgical instruments.

In Aswan, you'll explore the Temple of Philae, dedicated to the goddess Isis. Located on a picturesque island in the Nile, the temple is known not only for its intricate architecture but also for the sacred cats that roam freely within its grounds. These descendants of the temple's ancient guardian cats add a unique charm to the site, and you'll have the opportunity to interact with them. The temple is also famous for its well-preserved reliefs illustrating Egyptian rituals. Additionally, you'll visit the imposing Abu Simbel Temples, carved into the mountainside by Pharaoh Ramses II. These colossal structures, dedicated to Ramses II and his queen Nefertari, are masterpieces of ancient engineering and art. The temples were relocated in the 1960s to save them from the rising waters of Lake Nasser, and their scale and grandeur will leave you speechless.

After exploring Aswan, you will board a domestic flight to Cairo, which usually takes around 1 hour, providing a quick and convenient way to travel between these two famous Egyptian cities.

In Cairo, you'll visit the iconic Pyramids of Giza, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. The colossal Pyramid of Cheops will leave you in awe, along with the Pyramid of Khafre, the Valley Temple of Khafre, and the nearby Great Sphinx. You'll also see the Pyramid of Menkaure, the smallest of the three, along with its associated temples and smaller pyramids. As you explore these incredible monuments, you'll gain insight into their construction, their role in ancient funerary practices, and their enduring importance in Egypt's rich cultural heritage, completing an authentic 8-day/7-night Egypt trip.
