Egypt Low-Cost with Abu Simbel
Description
This 8-day adventure invites you to discover the treasures of ancient Egypt, beginning with a comfortable flight from Spain to Aswan. Upon arrival, you’ll board the Nile cruise, your floating retreat as you journey through the heart of Egypt’s captivating history. As the tranquil waters of the Nile carry you, each destination unveils a new layer of the country’s extraordinary past, blending natural beauty with human achievement.
In Aswan, a visit to the extraordinary Abu Simbel Temples will leave you in awe. These colossal monuments, carved into a mountainside by Pharaoh Ramses II, celebrate his reign and devotion to his wife, Nefertari. The temples’ intricate carvings and grand statues are a powerful reminder of Egypt’s architectural and artistic brilliance, preserved for future generations through a modern engineering feat that relocated them to higher ground.
The journey continues to Luxor, a city brimming with history and known as a living museum. On the East Bank of the Nile, you’ll explore the grand Karnak Temple Complex, an awe-inspiring testament to ancient religious devotion, with its towering columns and the iconic Sacred Lake. Nearby, the Luxor Temple offers a serene yet majestic glimpse into the grandeur of ancient Egyptian ceremonial life.
From Luxor, you’ll take a short flight to Cairo, where the wonders of the Giza Plateau await. Standing before the Pyramids of Cheops, Khafre, and Menkaure, you’ll feel the timeless allure of these monumental creations, which have stood for over 4,500 years. The Great Pyramid of Cheops, in particular, remains a marvel of ancient ingenuity. Completing the scene is the Great Sphinx, whose enigmatic gaze has watched over the desert for millennia. The adventure concludes with a return to Spain, carrying memories of stunning landscapes, unparalleled cultural landmarks, and the stories of an ancient civilization with you.
